Course Overview: Self-Study- 14 CMTE Credits (3 for Ethics)
Learning about anti-oppressive practice requires a willingness to acknowledge inequity. Taking action and putting that knowledge into practice takes courage and accountability. This course is all about finding the courage to take action in the most authentic way possible. LOUD is an acronym for Learn and Lean In, Override discomfort, Use your voice to unify, and Determine your unique Call to Action. Let's get LOUD together! This opportunity fulfills 3 credits towards the CBMT ethics requirement.

Accessing the Course Materials
All video lecture presentations will be available to participants on a private YouTube channel and the assignment forms and other documents will be shared in a Google Drive. Once a participant registers for the course they will be granted access to the private YouTube channel and google drive by means of their email address. Course videos and all course materials are strictly for the use of enrolled CBMT & course participants, and not to be sold, distributed, copied or shared in any form.
Assignments
There will be 4 assignments. Students will email these to the instructor.
- Reflection Course Workbook – The course workbook will consist of reflection questions in alignment with the course videos and learning content in addition to blank spaces for note taking.
- Action Plan – The action plan will be a measure of accountability for participants to put the course content into action in an authentic and meaningful way for them and their practice. It will be a template for participants to input their goals and objectives relative to the learning content and develop an accountability measure/agreement.
- Recording Project – The course instructor has chosen a song for the participants to learn and reflect on. After a brief period of objective and subjective reflection through lyric analysis, the participants will audio record themselves singing to the song (with guided instructions and a conducting video from the instructor).

Upon completion of the course and assignments, participants will receive a certificate stating they have earned 14 CMTE credits. - Cancellation and Refund Policy
Students may request a full refund minus a $10 USD administration fee within 15 days of ordering the course, provided they have not accessed the course materials. Once a student has accessed any of the course materials there is no refund. - Statement of Relationship
The AOP L.O.U.D Program is approved by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) for 14 Continuing Music Therapy Education credits. The [CBMT Approved Provider Notes By Amy, P-104] maintains responsibility for program quality and adherence to CBMT policies and criteria.
